Our scents
Our collection is composed of two scent types: blends of essential oils composed by L:a Bruket creator Monica and fragrances crafted by perfumers. Both exquisite in their own right, the essential oil blends are used exclusively in our body range and described through aromatic profiles, whilst fragrances are described using olfactive pyramids.
Essential oils are drops of living scent captured in a bottle, true to nature and a raw means of perfuming. Alongside this, our fragrances blend oils, extracts and balms to recreate a moment, emotion or the elevated essence of a thing.
Body & hair scents
Lemongrass
A zesty, sweet, energising scent.
The result of experimentation, L:a Bruket creator Monica was instinctively blending essential oils when she came across this exquisite combination. A chance meeting of two scents became a revelatory experience. The moisture and exotic quality of Lemongrass perfectly balancing the dry and aromatic garden green of rosemary. Magnifying the quintessence of lemongrass, each element echoes one another for a dialogue that is truly alive.
Sage / Rosemary / Lavender
Fresh, floral and aromatic, a truly fortifying scent.
Inspired by the morning stroll L:a Bruket creator Monica takes through her herb garden. Sweeping her hands through the path-hugging sage, rosemary and lavender, their flowers and foliage leave a delectable scent on her palms. Captured here as a soothing reminder of the pleasure to be found in the simple things. The courage it can instill and the empowering energy of clarity, readying you to embrace all that life offers.
Bergamot / Patchouli
Rich wood countered by soft freshness for a full-bodied scent experience.
To smell patchouli is to immerse yourself in a deep earthiness shifting from hot to cold. Here, the dynamic movement of this woody ingredient is enhanced by sharp bergamot. The perfect pairing, its citrus tang juxtaposes patchouli’s rich spice. A sharp, floral quality that rounds out the blend for a distinctive scent of contrasts. Warming, stimulating and grounding.
Elder
An uplifting light, zesty, floral scent with a delicate rawness.
When the elderflower blooms in Sweden, it’s a sign that good times lie ahead. A moment to collect the shining blossoms and make elderflower lemonade. Stirring a jug of it in her kitchen is always a reminder for L:a Bruket creator Monica to embrace the optimism of taking things slowly. The scent of calm and endless summers, floral and green with a natural raw undercurrent.
Spruce
A resinous, light and invigorating scent.
Trees cover 70% of Sweden, and the most common species? Spruce. It dominates the deep forest, the home of early humans, still providing us with a calming sense of familiarity whenever we step into them. This scent recreates a fantasy of running naked through the trees. Feeling the direct touch and smell of towering spruces and the lightness of their green, resinous foliage.
Aligned with Hinoki, the scent of a wooded Japanese landscape. Two individual experiences of being amongst the trees.
L:a Bruket donates 5% from the sale of the Spruce collection to Naturarvet, helping to safeguard old-growth forests and preserve biodiversity.
Grapefruit Leaf
An energising rush of fresh, sharp sweetness.
Here, we capture the immediate experience of opening a grapefruit in one's hands. Its juice and peel mixing together in a rush of intense vitality. The sparkling essential oil practically spilling out of its flesh and foliage, the droplets drifting in the air around you.
Home scents
Hinoki
Warm and rich with the timelessness of wood, opened by a bright citrus note.
The vibrancy of the stately Japanese Hinoki cypress forms the backbone to this fragrance, a plant closely linked to sacred spaces and meditative processes. Defined by its namesake tree, this olfactory blend reflects time spent to oneself in the forest in periods of quiet contemplation. The surrounding Hinoki soothing mind and spirit.
Aligned with Spruce, the scent of Swedish forest bathing. Two individual experiences of being amongst the trees.
